The purpose of French Club is to give students who are interested in the French language and culture the chance to get together and share their knowledge and ideas. Also, members of the club participate in activities in and outside of school to celebrate France and its culture.

Founded 1972, the Club, in its first year, had parties emphasizing french cuisine, various discussions about France and attended the French Production of The Barber of Seville. First officers were Ed Kopp, Pat Thorne, Martha Steuart, Mrs. Gangemi and Mr. Bisson.

In recent years, the French Club has enjoyed the food and arts of France. It has also raised money through flower sales, and proceeds go to the Red Cross or other charitable causes.
