Dear Sixth Grade Parents:
It's almost time for the annual sixth grade class trip to
the Dayspring Retreat
Center in Ellenton, Florida,
for a full day of team-building activities under the direction of Mark Lindsay
with “Common Ground Adventures.” In the
past four years, this experience has proved to be successful at setting the
tone for the year; we are all looking forward to it! This field trip is mandatory for all sixth grade students.
On Wednesday morning, October 13, your children must be at Berkeley by 7:30 a.m. at the latest to board the
buses for the drive to Ellenton. We plan
to return by 5:00 p.m., at which time you can pick up your child at the Buc Stop. Coach
transportation, the professionally directed team-building activities, and lunch
will be included in the cost of $65 per student. You will be billed for this through your
school account.
Berkeley
middle division teachers and administrators will be chaperones. We’re looking forward to a day that will be
both educational and fun. Once again,
this is a mandatory trip. If you have
any questions, please contact the middle division office.
Sincerely yours,
Martha Davis
