Using Pictures
from the Internet
1. Right-click on the picture.
2. Select “Save Picture As” from the menu.
3. Select the appropriate drive
and folder where you want to store the picture. Most choose My Pictures in My Documents folder.
4. Give the picture a name—you
don’t have to keep the name it already has, choose one that makes sense to you.

With
your Word document open, place your cursor in the page where you would like
your picture to be.
2.
Go
to Insert/Picture/From File.
3.
Find
your picture file by getting into the appropriate drive and folder where your
picture is stored.
4.
Clicking
on the Insert button or double clicking on your file.
5.
Resize
your picture if necessary by clicking the square handle on the corner of the
picture and dragging.
6.
Right
click on the picture and choose Format Picture from the menu.
7.
Then
choose the Layout tab and Square or Tight from the Wrapping Styles row then OK.
8.
You
can now point to the center of your picture, click and drag it around the
document.
9.
Notice
the text will wrap around the graphic as it is placed in different places.
1.
Return
to the picture's web page.
2.
Highlight
the Internet address (URL) in the address bar.
3.
Copy
the address. Either Edit/Copy or Ctrl-C
4.
Return
to your Word document.
5.
Add
Caption
6.
Create
a text box by clicking on the textbox button in the Drawing toolbar or by
choosing Insert …Textbox from the menu bar.
7.
Draw
a box by dragging your cursor which should now be a large + icon.
8.
Once
you have created your text box, use the paste command to insert the picture's
URL.
9. Drag and resize your textbox so it is clear that it goes with the picture. Remember you can change the size, style or color of the text simply by highlighting it and using the toolbars.
10.To change the look of the text box (Color,
Line around it, etc) right click on the edge of the textbox and choose Format
Textbox from the pop-up menu.
11. The Colors and Lines tab will allow you to create a transparent (No color) box with no line.
