Extra
Help Program – Math Lab
Students
are encouraged to attend the department's extra help sessions that
are offered regularly by each individual mathematics instructor. A
visit to an extra help session affords the student the opportunity
to review material prior to a test, achieve a greater
understanding of a particular mathematical concept, practice
skills necessary for mathematical success and broaden one's
general knowledge about mathematics. Success in mathematics is
often a combination of perseverance, practice and a genuine desire
for knowledge. Cultivating an interest in a discipline such as the
study of mathematics requires a long term commitment on the part
of the student. A true appreciation for the beauty of the
"art of mathematics" comes to those who approach the
study of mathematics with an open mind.
The Math Lab meets during
the school day.
Here students are provided the opportunity to receive extra
help.
A
fundamental principle of the Berkeley mathematics department is to
provide a quality mathematical experience for students of all
mathematical abilities. With the cooperation of the student, the
parents and the mathematics faculty, a challenging yet rewarding
study of mathematics awaits you, the student. Take advantage of
our extra help program. Do something for yourself today and take
that first step toward broadening your understanding of
mathematics. Consult your mathematics instructor for the current
schedule of extra help. |
