Baseball: Richie Warren

Richie Warren joined the Berkeley staff as varsity head coach in 2014. In 2016, he led Berkeley to the state semifinals. Prior to Berkeley, Coach Warren led Jesuit High School to its first state baseball championship in 14 years. In eight seasons as head baseball coach there he amassed an impressive 206-39 record. In each of the last five seasons, his team advanced to the State Final Four. He currently stands six wins away from 300 total wins entering the 2020 season. In 2012, Coach Warren was named the Southeast Coach of the Year by the National High School Baseball Coaches Association. He is a seven-time district coach of the year. 65 athletes have continued their baseball careers in college under Coach Warren, while having 14 former players drafted and 3 making it to the Major Leagues. As a high school player, Coach Warren won a state championship as a starting pitcher and attended the University of Florida.

Founded in 1960, Berkeley is an independent, Episcopal, college-preparatory day school located in Tampa, FL, for boys and girls in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 12. Approximately 1,400 students gather here from the greater Tampa Bay area to form ONE Berkeley.
