Boys Lacrosse: Mike Ryder

Mike Ryder joined the Berkeley staff as varsity head coach in 2018.  Coach Ryder comes to Berkeley with various coaching experiences at the High School and Collegiate Level. Prior to Berkeley, Coach Ryder served as Associate Head Coach at Kent Denver School in Colorado, where he helped guide the Sun Devils to a Final 4 and State Championship appearance in 2017 and 2018. Before that he served as the Head Coach of the FHSAA Varsity Team and the Offensive Coordinator of the National Team at IMG Academy for two years. Prior to IMG, Mike served as the Defensive Coordinator at the University of Tampa from 2011-2013 where they were two-time Deep South Conference Champions during his tenure. Mike also previously spent time in Colorado serving as the Head Coach for the University of Colorado Men’s Lacrosse program. Coach Ryder currently works for 3d Lacrosse, the nation’s largest lacrosse training and development company.

Founded in 1960, Berkeley is an independent, Episcopal, college-preparatory day school located in Tampa, FL, for boys and girls in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 12. Approximately 1,400 students gather here from the greater Tampa Bay area to form ONE Berkeley.
