Tampa Prep Results

The Varsity Golf teams played their last regular season match yesterday at home versus Tampa Prep.
The  Boys  team won the match shooting an awesome 144 (even par) led by Alex Ogle (Jr.) who tied the 9-hole record of 31 (5 under par) currently held by teammate Ronav Benak.  Continuing the theme of ending the season in great form, Andrew Zhao (Fr.) shot a one over par 37 while Hayes Corcell (7th Grade) and Ronav Benak (Fr.) both shot 38.
The Girls team played a bitter sweet match as three seniors, Ava Hajjar, Amanda Bradley and Sara Coughlin, competed in their last regular season match as Berkeley varsity golfers. While the scores were not the best of their careers, all the team’s senior leaders finished the day with their heads held high, setting a tremendous example for their teammates to follow in their footsteps. Proving that the future of Berkeley golf is extremely bright, 6thgrader, Emmy Pieklo took team medalist honors shooting a 42, followed by Ava Hajjar at 44 and Amanda Bradley and Madeline Zakarian with 49’s.
Both teams look forward to competing in the post season, beginning with Districts next week - Wednesday, Oct 27th at Westchase Golf Club.
Founded in 1960, Berkeley is an independent, Episcopal, college-preparatory day school located in Tampa, FL, for boys and girls in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 12. Approximately 1,400 students gather here from the greater Tampa Bay area to form ONE Berkeley.
