Northside Results

The Varsity Boys Basketball team moves to a 20-8 record after defeating Northside Christian 62-56 in the Regional Semifinal. The Bucs got off to a great start by establishing dominance on the inside, with CJ Hawkins and James Kavouklis. In the 2nd quarter the Bucs started making outside shots and scoring in transition, which allowed the team to take an 11 point lead into the half. During the second half Northside Christian caught fire from the outside and quickly closed the gap. The Bucs lost the lead for a short moment, but was able to settle back down and regain momentum down the stretch. The Bucs struggled at the free throw line in closing minutes, but made enough to protect the lead and victory. CJ Hawkins and George Kimble both had 22 points. The boys play for the Region Final this Friday vs. Tampa Catholic @ Tampa Prep, 7pm.
