God's Gift
Good news can be seen all around the world in many different ways and is unique to every person. For myself, I have recently seen good news through the opportunities that God has bestowed upon me throughout my life. Every day that I wake up and am able to come to Berkeley and participate in the many classes and programs it offers is an opportunity that God has given me. Even the small overlooked things like waking up and being healthy enough to go outside and play sports or just enjoy nature and the outdoors is an opportunity God has given us.
Throughout all our lives every time you have a chance to try a new thing, join a club or group, or even just meet a new person God is giving you an opportunity to expand and grow as a person. God wants us to develop and become our greatest selves so by not taking advantage of the many opportunities he gives us every single day we are missing out on a world of possibilities.
These ideals can even be seen in the Lesson read just now from the book of Romans when it talks about how we are in the hour of living and must awake from sleep in order to cast away the darkness and embrace the light. God will always be doing his work to give us meaningful and fruitful opportunities throughout our lives so we must do our work and take advantage of as many as we possibly can.

Berkeley Preparatory School
Founded in 1960, Berkeley is an independent, Episcopal, college-preparatory day school located in Tampa, FL, for boys and girls in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 12. Approximately 1,400 students gather here from the greater Tampa Bay area to form ONE Berkeley.
