In considering applications for Upper Division, the Admissions Committee evaluates students' talents, academic skills, personal interests, motivation to learn and desire to attend Berkeley. The committee begins evaluation of completed application files in mid-January with notification on March 1. Capacity enrollment is usually achieved by early March with later applications considered for a waiting pool status.
