For Teachers, December 30

We remember before you today, O God, the men and women who teach in this school. Be with them in their struggles, in their victories, and in their defeats. Help them to be good examples of loving kindness, careful scholarship, and committed lives. Pour out on them a full measure of your spirit so that they might lead out from their students fine work and authentic selfhood. Give them the satisfaction of seeing their students become men and women of strength, courage, and integrity. We pray through Jesus of Nazareth who knew what it was like to teach and learn. Amen.
