The MD Navy A Volleyball team played Academy of the Holy Names last night at home. Having started the season with a 2-1 win over the Jaguars in their tournament, the Bucs knew this would be a challenging game to win. The girls started off rocky in set one but found their rhythm when Katherine Muldrow went on a 6 point serving run to put the Bucs in the lead and help them secure set one 25-19. The Bucs kept the momentum with strong serving, great defensive plays and spectacular kills by all to sweep the Jaguars 25-17 in set two. A big shout out to captains Lauren Careccia and Hannah Hankerson for their leadership in both sets. The Bucs will host FWCL runner-up St. Mary’s on Tuesday at home. This is a huge game for Berkeley and we hope to pack the stands! Go Bucs!
