St. John's Results

Sometimes it’s not how you start but how you finish. The MD Blue Volleyball team played St. John’s yesterday and started slow in game 1, down 11-20, but then a switch was flipped. Led by the setting of Claire Feinerman and Paige Quinn, the team started an epic comeback. The setters were dishing to all the hitters and Aubrie MacLaren, Elsa Blair and Izzy Youseff were enjoying the sweetness that was being dished. Alexis McFarland did a great job of hustling to balls and placing some dimes to the setters. The score ended up 25-22 with Paige serving the last 12 points. The Bucs were unable to keep up the momentum in game 2 and that led to a pivotal game 3. The Bucs took a 7-0 lead but saw their lead shrink away until the Eagles tied the score at 10. That’s when Claire Feinerman stepped to the back stripe and served 5 consecutive balls to finish the match. Go Bucs!
