For Music and Musicians: November 17

God of all sights and sound, we praise you today for the gift of music, the sounds of harmony, the rhythms of the universe. We thank you for those who have raised up the music of the people, for those who work in composition and performance, for those who teach music in this school and elsewhere, for those who, in every form and type of music, give us pleasure. Help us express our deepest needs and feelings, and allow us to hear the sounds beyond sound which lie deep in the heart of your creation. We pray to you, who sang a new creation into being. Amen.
