Shorecrest Results

Last night, our JV Boys Soccer team was hosted by Shorecrest Preparatory School. After getting off to a good start initially, pressing and almost scoring, the game became very scrappy in the midfield. Shorecrest started to get further up the field and press us further back. A defensive error led to our boys giving away a penalty in the last moment of the first half. The Shorecrest striker stepped up struck his penalty well aiming for the top right corner but freshman goalkeeper was up to the challenge and saved the penalty parrying it up and over the goal. 0-0 at half-time. The second half was equally as scrappy, and midway through the second half Shorecrest won a corner, and a lapse in concentration led to one of their attackers gaining a free header towards the goal and hitting the back of the net. Any chances we had in front of the goal quickly got defended, cleared out or saved. We look forward to our next game this Friday vs Cristo Rey High School at 5 pm on Dickey Field. Let’s Go Bucs!
