Berkeley Announces Fall Football Match Up in New Orleans

TAMPA – Berkeley Preparatory School is pleased to announce the scheduling of an away football game vs. Isidore Newman School in New Orleans, Louisiana for the upcoming fall 2021 football season. The Buccaneers will travel to Louisiana for the October 22, 2021 matchup against the Greenies at Michael Lupin Field.

“It is with profound excitement and the full support of Headmaster (Joseph) Seivold, that I announce a national football game next season at Isidore Newman School in New Orleans, Louisiana,” said Athletic Director Bobby Reinhart. “This is a great opportunity for Berkeley and Berkeley Football.”

Football fans may recognize the name Isidore Newman due to some famous alumni: Cooper, Peyton, and Eli Manning.  Cooper’s son Arch Manning is the current quarterback, a rising junior, and one of the top recruits in the country.  Odell Beckham, Jr. is also an alumnus.

The Buccaneers are coming off of a 7-2 season that ended in the 3A state semi-final game against Chaminade-Madonna (Hollywood, FL) by a score of 23-21.
