The Varsity Baseball team defeated district opponent Carrollwood Day School 10-0 Friday night. Before the game, we honored our 8 seniors (Tate Allen, Johnathan Bruno, Michael Cui, Andrew DiMisa, Knox Meier, Matt Mulfinger, Will Parkinson, and Evan Parmer) for their contributions to our program and school community. The Bucs offense started fast, scoring 9 runs in the 1st inning. Cade Kurland went 3-3 with a homerun and 2 RBIs. Troy Reader went 2-3 with a run scored and RBI. Every Senior that had an at bat recorded a hit. Johnathan Bruno went 1-1 with 2 walks and 2 RBIS. Tate Allen and Andrew DiMisa each had a single but the offensive highlight of the night belonged to Knox Meier as he sent his first ever homerun over the left center field fence for a GRAND SLAM! Will Parkinson earned the win on the mound going 3 1/3 innings, striking out 5 batters. Michael Cui and Matt Mulfinger closed out the game with scoreless innings.
