Berkeley Names Head Beach Volleyball Coach

Berkeley Preparatory School recently announced it has named Livingstone “LT” Treumann as Head Beach Volleyball Coach. Treumann will lead the school’s newest sports team.

“I have long admired Berkeley’s impressive volleyball program, said Treumann. “Having the opportunity to coach my life’s passion at Berkeley is both an honor and a privilege.”

Born in Brazil, Treumann was raised in Orlando, Florida and has been involved with the game of beach volleyball for more than 20 years. His extensive career has allowed him to coach a wide range of players, including Olympic-bound athletes and numerous junior athletes. Under Treumann’s guidance, his athletes have achieved great accolades in the sport, have been recognized by the USA Volleyball High Performance team as standout players, and have earned scholarships within the NCAA Division I and II levels.

“Treumann’s approach to coaching is well aligned with our school’s mission and values,” said Berkeley’s Athletic Director Bobby Reinhart. “He will create a supportive and enriching Beach Volleyball program that will allow every student athlete to reach their full, unique potential.”

Berkeley recently announced plans to break ground on one of the most impressive high school beach volleyball complexes in the state. The complex is the result of gifts from two generous donors who stepped forward to support the project. Bob Gries, Ben Fertic, and their families have close ties to the Buccaneer volleyball program and want to see it grow into one of the country’s preeminent programs.

The nationally ranked Buccaneers already have one of the premier indoor volleyball programs in the state, bolstered by several seniors already committed to Division 1 collegiate programs. The addition of a beach volleyball team will elevate the program even higher and provide new opportunities to girls who may want to compete at the collegiate level.

The Lady Bucs will take to the sand when the beach volleyball season officially begins in February, 2022.
