The Berkeley Academy Celebrates Inaugural Class Graduates

Two inaugural graduates of the Berkeley Academy — Edgar Murillo (left) and Neftali Gomez (right), from Wimauma — were interviewed recently by Spectrum Bay News 9 for earning full scholarships to college. Murillo will attend Tufts University to study computer science, and Gomez will go to Middlebury College to study neuroscience.

The Berkeley Academy is a free, signature service program offered by Berkeley Preparatory School aimed at helping highly motivated students from low-income households in the Tampa Bay community reach their unique potential. Murillo and Gomez join their fellow Berkeley Academy scholars from the Class of 2022 in fulfilling their dream of going to college. Congratulations!
