Lakeland Christian Results

The Varsity Girls Soccer team played the final game of  a difficult week with  a Friday night match against defending 3A state champions Lakeland Christian. The two teams played a focused back and forth match that found the Vikings ahead  on a header midway thru on a corner kick.  The second half found the Bucs battling to get even with a number of good opportunities going by the wayside. On the defensive end of the field the Berkeley 11 stayed strong keeping the game within reach as time ran down.  The Buccaneers found a way to tie the match at one a piece on a corner kick of their own as Adrianna Price served a ball to the back post where Izzy Youssef drilled a header into the back of the net for a well earned 1-1 tie.  Next up 5A defending Champions Bishop Moore Tuesday at 4:15 as the Girls take the field for the first time on Newly fashioned Bisk-Turkel Field at Newman Stadium.  Go Bucs!!
