Temptation versus Us

The devil often appeals to us with a variety of scenarios in order to test our strength and devotion to God. He wants to weaken our relationship to the Lord. Although sometimes we can find ourselves tempted by Satan, we must fight and stay strong in our relationship with God. In my daily life, I have been tempted by different situations.

In one instance, I can find myself being tempted to watch tv, rather than doing my homework. I need to remind myself that although watching Netflix is much more appealing than solving bearings, I have to work through this struggle. I need to remain a hard worker and not give into temptation while staying loyal to God. Struggles like these can take many forms, whether it is struggling to prepare for a test, staying on top of your practices, or even listening and obliging to your parents, the devil tries to infiltrate our relationship with God in any way he can.

As worshippers of the Lord, we must stay strong and support one another under the eyes of God and not give into any evil temptations.

The good news in this reading was that in the end, the Lord rewarded Jesus by sending angels to him after Jesus refused to give into the devil. To me, this shows that God will always support me and provide guidance throughout all of life’s difficult times. In the end, God will provide strength to those who need it and we must trust and follow Him in that.
