Thursday Morning Prayer

God's love has been poured into our hearts through the holy spirit. This is a verse from the Lesson but I have learned that this can be taken away in an instant.

This is because of a time in my life where I struggled to see God’s love. In the beginning of 2022, I got covid.I couldn’t leave my room, so therefore I was isolated from my friends and family. But, that wasn’t the only adversity I faced. During my last few days of covid, I woke up to my mom saying that my dog, Brody, wasn't feeling well. I brushed it over because I had woken up many times that night struggling with a fever. My tiredness and my sickness felt to be the bigger burden. Later that day, my parents decided to take him to the vet. I remember vividly, that my mom said everything was going to be okay and he was going to be just fine. So, I put it in the back of my mind again, not knowing what was to come next. My dad said he was coming back to get me at the house and he was going to take me to the vet to see him. I still remember the look on my dad’s face when he came to pick me up and as he drove me to the vet. We walked into the room where Brody was and the vets said that we had to put him down. My mom, my dad, my sister and I crowded around him, saying our last goodbyes to him.

I poured my heart into those last few words just like how God pours his love into our hearts. I am so grateful that I have learned this lesson because I can now pour my heart into everything I do and everyone around me.
