Science Comes Alive
Students in prekindergarten through fifth grade had a blast today celebrating Berkeley’s annual Science Discovery Day! Children enjoyed more than 15 different activities, from aviation engineering to bubble trouble and even a fossil, archeology and geology dig. Middle and upper division students also participated in Science Discovery Day by presenting egg drop competitions, boat races and science shows to lower division students. Several guest speakers presented on topics ranging from health to robotics. We were especially excited to welcome back Aurora Flight Sciences speaker and Berkeley alum Brandon Suarez ’05 for a special presentation to the kids. Thank you to the many Parents' Club volunteers and to everyone who made this event a huge success!
