Jordan Burgess ’12 Named National Junior of the Year!

Berkeley’s Jordan Burgess ’12 was named the National Junior of the Year by PrepVolleyball.com and ESPN Rise. Burgess, who led the girls varsity volleyball team to its second-straight state title and 14th in program history, was crowned the Florida Gatorade Player of the Year and Florida Dairy Farmers Miss Volleyball earlier this year. Burgess was a 2010 USA Volleyball Girls’ Youth Olympic Team member and was crowned the 2009 and 2010 Florida Class 3A Player of the Year. On the season, Burgess totaled 540 kills, averaging almost six per game for a 30-2 team that ended the year ranked 17th nationally. She added 37 aces, 51 blocks and 318 digs while receiving serve 435 times. Congratulations Jordan on all of your success this year!
