Berkeley Named Overall FHSAA Academic Team Champion for Class 3A

Berkeley was named the overall FHSAA Academic Team Champion for Class 3A after 11 athletic teams earned individual Academic Team Champion honors throughout the 2010-11 year. The overall champion in each classification was decided after points were tallied for each team who earned a top-10 finish in their respective sport. Ten points where awarded to teams who had the highest GPA in their sport and classification. Berkeley went into the spring season with seven Academic Team Champions and added four more in May as baseball (3.48), softball (3.80), boys track and field (3.58) and girls track and field (3.77) were all winners. Boys volleyball (3.63) and girls tennis (3.86) finished with the second-highest GPA among their spring sport competitors. Congratulations Bucs for your success both on and off the playing field!
