Annual Faculty and Staff Campaign Reaches 100 Percent Again This Year

For the seventh consecutive year, Berkeley’s faculty and staff have stepped forward to support the school they love with an impressive 100 percent participation in the Faculty and Staff Berkeley Fund drive launched in mid-August – all in just six weeks.

This impressive effort hit full participation by all 230 members of Berkeley’s faculty and staff on October 1, 2013, a full eight weeks ahead of reaching the milestone last year. The race to the goal was tight, highlighted by the middle division hitting the 100 percent mark first, only to have their lower division challengers reach full participation later that same day!

“The Berkeley Fund has a meaningful impact on every child and teacher on campus every day,” said Director of the Berkeley Fund and Parent Relations Laura Harrison. “It helps our children reach their full potential as students, artists, athletes and leaders.” She further explained that the Berkeley Fund is a vital source of annual funding for Berkeley. It funds everything from new academic, fine arts, technology and athletic programs to faculty salaries, benefits and training. Gifts to the Berkeley Fund are tax deductible and allow donors to make up the difference between tuition and the true cost of a Berkeley education.
