It’s a Wrap! Fifth Annual Wrap-in a Huge Success

For the fifth consecutive year, hundreds of deserving children in need will be guaranteed a gift under the tree this holiday season as a result of the annual Berkeley “Wrap-In” that took place on December 6. The Wrap-in, which brings together the entire school community to benefit local charities throughout Tampa Bay, resulted in more than 1,500 wrapped gifts provided by Berkeley students, faculty and staff. The lower division worked with the middle and upper division students to donate and wrap gifts and write personal letters expressing holiday well-wishes to local children.

Faculty members provided a variety of fun items including stickers and tissue paper that the students used to decorate the gift bags. All of the donated gifts were then delivered to the Aye Arboretum where our generous parent volunteers collected and sorted the gifts in preparation for delivery. Organizations including the Redlands Christian Migrant Association, the Head Start Programs at Jackson Springs and Town & Country Commons, and Dover Elementary School will benefit from the generosity of the Berkeley community when the gifts are delivered on December 20.
