Athletics enrich the lives of Berkeley students. With an Open Participation Policy, more than eighty percent of our students compete in interscholastic sports. This creates a climate of teamwork, cooperation and sportsmanship that encourages students to develop new skills and talents, often with dramatic results.

The combination of sound coaching, hard work, talent and academic preparation has allowed our students to garner scholarships from dozens of schools including Air Force Academy, Brown University, Cornell University, Dartmouth, Duke University, University of Michigan, University of Mississippi, Northwestern University, University of Notre Dame, Princeton University, and University of Southern California.  Berkeley currently has  56 alumni competing at the collegiate level and four alumni competing as a professional.

Berkeley’s full range of varsity and junior varsity teams in the Middle and Upper Divisions includes 16 sports and more than 72 teams. Berkeley is a 4A school and a member of the Florida High School Athletic Association and the Florida West Coast League.
