This program is a four-week intensive program in fine arts. Students will take two classes every day while there, one in drawing and the other in photography. Most of the lessons will be in museums or gardens.Students stay in apartments with Berkeley teachers while attending classes. Classes will be taught by university professors. Students start with three days in Rome prior to heading to Florence. During the weekends, students visit Cinque Terre, Siena and San Gimignano. The mission of the program is to provide an innovative and exciting experience for students who have the desire to reach and expand their cultural growth and knowledge in a varied culture. There is a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 24 students for this program. Students receive a Berkeley fine arts credit upon completion.
