Impact Report Story: Ashlyn and Philip Atigre

Before we started a family, a friend told us, “Berkeley is the best.” We couldn’t wait to check out the school once Aston was old enough to apply. Once we were on campus, the staff made us feel right at home, and the resources for all grade levels blew us away. We quickly realized there is an area for every student to find a passion and shine. We wanted our family to be a part of a greater community, where our children would have a sense of belonging and see the “big kids” as their role models. Even now, each time we are on campus, we learn more about the state-of-the-art technology, infrastructure, tools, and individual support Berkeley provides. The attention to detail is second to none, and it allows our students to learn and grow like no other.

We understand that in order for Berkeley to provide the best and most up-to-date resources for our children, we must do our part to champion that cause. We also know Berkeley teachers are the absolute best. We want to do all we can to keep them at Berkeley and for them to know they are appreciated and recognized. That is why we feel it’s so important for our family to give back to the Berkeley community—from sponsoring BUC BASH to serving on the Berkeley Fund committee, we realize our actions will make a positive difference for Berkeley’s incredible faculty.

We hope that our support will retain and cater to Berkeley’s amazing teachers and staff. Berkeley is able to provide a next-level educational experience by constantly staying ahead of the game when it comes to student resources. We hope our support will help Berkeley further those efforts and continue to touch each student’s life.
