Each year, alumni give back to Berkeley by supporting scholarships and tuition assistance for high-achieving students in Upper Division. To date, Alumni Annual Giving has provided seven full-tuition scholarships. In reunion years, each celebrating class comes together in support of their alma mater to make a meaningful gift to scholarship at Berkeley. The class with the highest giving is bestowed the Reunion Giving Cup. Endowed gifts are transformational gifts that ensure the future of the Berkeley experience for generations of students to come. Endowed funds provide a reliable source of income that will allow Berkeley to retain the best faculty, attract the brightest and most talented students, and follow through on our vision “to put people in the world who make a positive difference.”

EXPLORE ENDOWED GIFTS AT BERKELEY

We recognize Berkeley’s most loyal and generous alumni supporters through giving societies. The True Blue Bucs Society is a giving club that celebrates those alumni who have made annual gifts to Berkeley for at least five years consecutively or at least 10 years cumulatively. Alumni who make annual gifts totaling $3,500 or more are honored as members of the Societies for Excellence and recognized at special appreciation events. The Young Alumni Leadership Circle is a giving society for alumni from the classes of 2011-2022.

LEARN MORE ABOUT GIVING SOCIETIES

The Berkeley Alumni Association hosts two fundraising events each year to provide unique and meaningful opportunities for investment in our alma mater: the Berkeley Open Golf Tournament and the Buccaneer Inshore Invasion Fishing Tournament. We rely on a committee of alumni volunteers and strong financial support from the alumni community to make these events a success.

We rely on members of reunion classes to help make sure their reunion is one to remember! If you are interested in helping organize your reunion, please reach out to Billy Phillips ’15, Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement, at phillwil@berkeleyprep.org. In October 2026, we will be celebrating milestone reunions for class years ending in 1 and 6. 

Throughout the school year, there may be opportunities for alumni to share their experiences with students at career lunches or panels. Alumni may also have the opportunity to host or mentor students exploring specific career paths.
