Berkeley Fund

Tuition, endowment income, restricted gifts, and auxiliary programs cover only 95% of Berkeley’s $40 million annual operating budget. Your tax-deductible gift to the Berkeley Fund helps cover the other 5%. We rely on the generous support of our community to maintain the excellence that defines a Berkeley education.

The Berkeley Fund directly supports:

• New academic, fine arts, and athletic programs

• Teaching tools

• Faculty salaries and benefits

• New technology

• Faculty training and development

• Scholarships and tuition assistance

• Campus security

• Training and sports equipment

Berkeley Fund gifts supplement expenses not covered by tuition, fund professional development, and ensure that all students have meaningful opportunities to grow and succeed. Gifts to Berkeley’s endowment ensure that the traditions and values important to us as a school community will continue in perpetuity. A capital gift is typically a major gift that funds new construction, renovation projects, and/or new programming, all of which transform the Berkeley experience. We are proud of Berkeley’s culture of philanthropy and strong community support. Achieving 100% participation in the Berkeley Fund each year by current parents—and strong participation from alumni, grandparents, and other friends of the school—demonstrates the strength of our community and their confidence in Berkeley’s vision to “put people in the world who make a positive difference.” A gift of any size indicates your gratitude and your belief in Berkeley.

Berkeley’s fiscal year runs from July 1 to June 30. Gifts may be made any time throughout the fiscal year, but contributing in the fall allows the school to budget more effectively for the upcoming year. It also serves as a vote of confidence in the school and inspires others to join in Berkeley’s community of giving.

Gifts to the Berkeley Fund may be paid by cash, check, stock transfer, credit card, PayPal, or Venmo. You may also set up an electronic transfer schedule.
