Giving Societies

The members of our giving societies share something in common: they believe Berkeley is worth investing in at the highest level. Their commitment funds what makes this school exceptional, and their example moves the entire community forward.

Lifetime giving societies include all donors who have a cumulative giving history of $100,000 or more. These gifts have benefited countless alumni and continue to support our current and future students. Lifetime giving society donors are recognized at special appreciation events and are provided reserved parking and priority seating at Honors Nights and Commencement.

The Societies for Excellence recognize parents, alumni, grandparents, and friends of Berkeley who contribute a total of $3,500 or more to the Berkeley Fund or Alumni Annual Giving in one fiscal year. We celebrate members at special events and honor them through membership benefits, in acknowledgment of their efforts to ensure that Berkeley has the resources to fulfill its mission.

The Young Alumni Leadership Circle recognizes annual giving leadership by Berkeley alumni of the past 15 years. It includes membership in the Societies for Excellence.

True Blue Bucs Society

The True Blue Bucs Society is a loyalty giving club that recognizes and celebrates  alumni who have made annual gifts to Berkeley for at least five years consecutively or 10 years cumulatively.

Gold Circle Society

Recognition in the Gold Circle Society is extended to current and retired faculty and staff who have given to the Berkeley Fund for at least 10 years consecutively or 15 years cumulatively and who give in the current year.
