Monday, June 1
- Depart on your flight to Iceland.
Tuesday, June 2
- Arrive and meet your tour guide.
- Visit the Vikingaheimar Museum, home to the Viking ship Íslendingur.
- Visit the Blue Lagoon and swim in the bright blue thermal hot spring.
- Return to Reykjavik for an orientation of the city and check into your hotel.
- Dinner at the Cabin Hotel
Wednesday, June 3
- Visit the National Museum of Iceland to learn about the history and culture of the country.
- Enjoy free time in the afternoon to explore downtown Reykjavik.
- Return to the hotel and have dinner nearby.
Thursday, June 4
- Head out in the morning to explore the western shore of Iceland.
- Visit the interactive Icelandic Settlement Center in Borgarnes.
- Have lunch at the Settlement Museum.
- Continue inland to view the Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls.
- Visit Deildartunguhver, the most powerful hot spring in Europe, before returning to the hotel for dinner.
Friday, June 5
- Take the Golden Circle Day Tour, which includes some of Iceland’s most popular natural wonders.
- View the Gullfoss waterfall.
- Visit the Geysir geothermal area.
- Stop at a family-owned greenhouse farm for lunch and to meet the farm’s friendly Icelandic horses.
- Visit the community of Laugarvatn, a town built around three hot springs.
- Arrive at your hotel, check in, and have dinner.
Saturday, June 6
- Drive along the South Shore to see waterfalls, volcanoes, and beaches.
- Stop at Seljalandsfoss, a ribbon-shaped waterfall that you can walk behind if trail conditions allow.
- Drive along the hills of Eyjafjallajökull, a beautiful area of rich farmland.
- Visit Skógafoss, one of Iceland’s most photographed waterfalls.
- Drive past the rocky Dyrhólaey headland with its sheer cliffs.
- Arrive in Vík, a charming village famous for its volcanic black sand beaches, and take a walk along the shore.
- Visit the Lava Center and learn about volcanism.
- Take a guided ice hike on the Sólheimajökull glacier tongue.
- Arrive at your hotel, check in, and have dinner.
Sunday, June 7—A Day of Glaciers
- Visit the southern area of Vatnajökull National Park.
- Explore Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon.
- Visit Diamond Beach.
- Return to the hotel and have dinner.
Monday, June 8
- Visit Raufarhólshellir cave for an easy guided walk inside this 2,000-year-old lava tube.
- Visit the Hellisheiði Power Plant, the eighth-largest geothermal power station in the world.
- Return to Reykjavik and check into your hotel.
- Dinner at a restaurant near your hotel
Tuesday, June 9
- Start your day with the Lava Show in Reykjavik, the only live lava show in the world.
- Visit the Wonders of Iceland exhibit at the Perlan.
- Take an elevator 240 feet to the top of Hallgrimskirkja Church, the tallest building in Reykjavik.
- Walk down Skólavörðustígur Street for souvenir shopping.
- Enjoy free time in Reykjavik before heading to your hotel for dinner.
Wednesday, June 10
- Check out of your hotel, head to the airport, and begin your journey home.

You will need to register by Friday, October 31, 2025, to be eligible to participate.
To register:
- Visit the Educational Travel Adventures (ETA) website at: https://www.etadventures.com/. Click the green text in the top section of the screen that says “Customer Login.”
- Next, you will be prompted to enter your trip code which is berkeleyiceland26.
- On the next screen, choose the option to “Access Account.” You will be prompted to create an account using your email address or your personal Google account.
- If you have previously created an account with ETA, you may sign into your existing account to make a reservation and you will not need to create a new account.
- Once you are into your account, select “Add a New Trip,” and then enter berkeleyiceland26.
- You should see the trip details at this point. Select “Make a New Reservation” and complete ALL fields.
