Bayshore Capital Founder and CEO Tready Arthur Smith ’88 Speaks to Students

The Lasher Center for Business and Entrepreneurial Studies thanks Tready Arthur Smith ’88, Founder and CEO of Bayshore Capital, for a terrific evening with our Lasher Business Institute students. Drawing on her experience as an investor, Tready offered a behind-the-scenes look at pre-IPO investing, discussed opportunities in energy and rare earths, and explained the appeal of hard assets tied to enduring needs that are less susceptible to technological obsolescence. She also encouraged students to start building their professional networks now and emphasized the importance of understanding their personality and strengths when choosing a career path. Bayshore Capital was an early investor in USA Rare Earth (NASDAQ: USAR), where Tready previously served as board chair.
