Throughout the month of September, our school community has been placing a special focus on the core value of integrity, setting a purposeful tone with age-appropriate discussions across all three divisions.

In the Lower Division, teachers and students have been exploring how integrity means doing the right thing, even when nobody is watching, laying an early foundation for strong character.

In the Middle Division, students heard directly from Head of School Augustine Whyte ’99, who shared a poignant personal story about his family that highlighted the lasting impact of staying true to one’s principles.

In the Upper Division, the concept of academic and personal honesty took center stage as students signed the annual Honor Code, reaffirming their commitment to ethical behavior. To reinforce the weight of this pledge, members of the Honor Council spoke directly to their peers, highlighting the importance of keeping your word.
Complementing this peer leadership, Jeremiah Gregg, Chair of the History and Religious Studies Department, delivered a thought-provoking talk about etiquette, respect, and integrity, detailing the power of small moments that show consideration for other people, such as looking someone in the eyes while listening, holding the door for others, saying “thank you,” and cleaning up after yourself.
By engaging students across every grade level, our school has woven integrity into the very fabric of daily campus life this September. To supplement and enhance this learning, we invite you to talk with your children at home about what integrity means to you.
