Punit Shah Speaks to Lasher Business Institute Students

The Lasher Center for Business and Entrepreneurial Studies thanks Punit Shah, CEO of Liberty Group and an owner of the Miami Marlins, for speaking with students in the Lasher Business Institute (LBI). Now in its seventh year, the LBI gives Berkeley students a foundation in business, finance, and entrepreneurship and helps them develop the financial intelligence to navigate the world around them. The yearlong program includes an evening Business Leadership Symposium, which Punit kicked off with a candid conversation about his journey from growing up in a family business to becoming a CEO and investor overseeing more than $1 billion in investments. He shared lessons on leadership, mentorship, risk-taking, decision-making, and the habits that have contributed to his success, while challenging students to think about what they can begin doing now to prepare themselves for successful careers in business and beyond.
