Parents' Club

Becoming a Berkeley parent is something special; we share a common bond in wanting an exceptional education for our children. Parents' Club allows us to strengthen this bond with each other, with students, and with faculty and staff, elevating the experience of the whole family through a deeper connection with the entire Berkeley community.

Parents' Club offers multiple opportunities to volunteer and participate - accommodating even the busiest schedules. Parents across all divisions, from grades Pre-K through 12, get involved, not only to meet fellow parents and learn more about Berkeley, but also because of the friendships made, the fulfilling work deploying our skills and talents to enhance the Berkeley experience, the reward in serving those in need off-campus, and the fun of celebrating at our big fundraiser, BUC BASH!

Getting involved is the best way to get the most out of your family's experience at Berkeley, and our Parents' Club makes involvement easy. We welcome you!

BUC BASH

Parents' Club has only one fundraiser to support the 30+ events and programs that we fully fund or subsidize throughout the year. BUC BASH is a fun and welcoming on-campus party for Berkeley parents, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends. It's always a great evening with delicious food and cocktails, awesome music, and always a few surprising twists. This event brings together parents in all divisions - from those brand-new to Berkeley, to those whose children have been here for years or even graduated. BUC BASH and the accompanying BUC BASH Online Auction and Raffle let everyone have a blast while supporting the work of Parents' Club!

Scholarship

To make a Berkeley education accessible to students for whom the opportunity is financially out of reach, Parents' Club established an endowed scholarship in 1997. The endowment provides one full and one partial scholarship to students with financial need who demonstrate the potential for outstanding academic achievement. In 2011, Parents' Club renamed it The Joseph A. Merluzzi Endowed Scholarship to honor the retiring headmaster for his many years of service. Since its inception, the endowment has enabled ten students to pursue an education at Berkeley.
Founded in 1960, Berkeley is an independent, Episcopal, college-preparatory day school located in Tampa, FL, for boys and girls in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 12. Approximately 1,380 students gather here from the greater Tampa Bay area to form ONE Berkeley.
