About

Parents' Club

Becoming a Berkeley parent is something special; we share a common bond in wanting an exceptional education for our children. Parents' Club allows us to strengthen this bond with each other, with students, and with faculty and staff, elevating the experience of the whole family through a deeper connection with the entire Berkeley community.

Parents' Club offers multiple opportunities to volunteer and participate—accommodating even the busiest schedules. Parents across all divisions, from grades Pre-K through 12, get involved, not only to meet fellow parents and learn more about Berkeley, but also because of the friendships made, the fulfilling work deploying skills and talents to enhance the Berkeley experience, the reward in serving those in need off campus, and the fun of celebrating at Parents’ Club’s big fundraiser, BUC BASH!

Getting involved is the best way to get the most out of your family's experience at Berkeley, and Parents' Club makes involvement easy. We welcome you!

BUC BASH

Parents’ Club hosted Berkeley’s 2022 BUC BASH March 5. The only school-wide social fundraiser of Parents’ Club brought together parents of all divisions, alumni, faculty, and their guests. We made up for lost time and gathered outdoors for an evening of Bites and Brews, featuring breweries from across Tampa Bay.

Support of BUC BASH and its online auction allows Parents’ Club to fund school-wide initiatives and Parents’ Club events.

Thanks to our donors and those who participated, the auction ended with the highest totals in the event history.

We are grateful for your support in making BUC BASH 2022 a success!

Scholarship

To make a Berkeley education accessible to students for whom the opportunity is financially out of reach, Parents' Club established an endowed scholarship in 1997. The endowment provides one full and one partial scholarship to students with financial need who demonstrate the potential for outstanding academic achievement. In 2011, Parents' Club renamed it The Joseph A. Merluzzi Endowed Scholarship to honor the retiring headmaster for his many years of service. Since its inception, the endowment has enabled 10 students to pursue an education at Berkeley.
Founded in 1960, Berkeley is an independent, Episcopal, college-preparatory day school located in Tampa, FL, for boys and girls in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 12. Approximately 1,400 students gather here from the greater Tampa Bay area to form ONE Berkeley.
