Dynamic Author Toni Buzzeo Delights Students

Guest Author Toni Buzzeo spent two fun-filled days with lower division students this week. Surrounded by delightful artwork created by kindergarten students and featuring Mrs. Skorupski, a character from one of Ms. Buzzeo’s books, our guest began her visit speaking to students in grades 3 – 5 about the writing process and the careers of authors. Early childhood students were entertained while listening to her animated storytelling, and they enjoyed singing songs about the animal characters in Ms. Buzzeo’s books. Ms. Buzzeo shared her newest book, “No T-Rex in the Library,” which was published on the first day of her visit this week, with kindergarteners and first graders. Students had the privilege of being the first ones to hear the book and to hear the author read it to them in person! Ms. Buzzeo is a gifted and dynamic author and speaker who has written more than 10 children’s books, as well as numerous professional titles for teachers. Ms. Buzzeo is passionate about using literature throughout the curriculum, and her sessions with our students were exciting, entertaining and educational. It was truly a memorable visit.
