Cypress Creek Results

The Varsity Boys Basketball team won their season opener 65-51 against Cypress Creek HS. The Bucs got off to a fast start with Greg Willis scoring the game’s first six points. The team continued offensive dominance throughout the quarter and took a 30-10 lead as the quarter ended. Several defensive mistakes allowed Cypress Creek to close the gap going into halftime with the Bucs leading 40-27. In the 2nd half the team traded baskets with Cypress Creek, but never allowed them within ten points. George Kimble made several great offensive plays throughout the game and finished with 31 points, while Evan Hellman and Owen Ingerick added eight and seven points respectively. Next up, the Bucs will play on December 11th in the Lakeland Challenge Shootout.
