Shorecrest Results

The Varsity Girls Soccer team lost a hard fought match last night in the season opener, on a wind-blown Dickey field.  Last year’s 2A state runner-up Shorecrest Prep gained an early advantage as the Buccaneers struggled to find a rhythm in the passing game, creating early scoring opportunities for the opponent. Going into the halftime break down a goal, the Berkeley side displayed a resilience as they worked  to regain the form they displayed in the preseason.  With some quality scoring opportunities going by the wayside during the second half, the final result was a 1-0 season opening loss.  The team will be on the road this weekend as they take on East coast squads at Trinity Episcopal Friday night and Viera HS Saturday.  Come out today to Lykes at 10am as senior defender Olivia Pielak signs her letter of intent to join the Rice University Owls for her College career. Go Bucs!
