2012 Summer Programs Conclude; Campers Bid Farewell to Manny Suarez

Friday, July 27, marked the end of another exciting, fun and productive Summer Programs season at Berkeley. We hosted more than 3,300 campers during the seven-week period and the enthusiasm of our campers was a high on the last day as it was on the first day of camp in early June.

As the campers soaked in their final day with friends both old and new, they took a minute to say farewell to a familiar face. After 25 years as the Director of Summer Programs, Manny Suarez spent his final summer at the helm. Campers, counselors, faculty members and old friends gathered to say goodbye to Suarez with a “clap-out.” It was a great way to end such a fantastic summer and we are already looking forward to 2013!
