Students Compete at the Florida State Spanish Conference

Earlier this month, 15 Berkeley Upper Division students joined more than 500 Spanish students from across the state in Orlando for the Florida State Spanish Conference. Each student competed in at least two categories—including Impromptu Speech, Poem Declamation, a Play, and Cultural Presentation (Regional Dance and Regional Dress)—and every representative earned a score in the top two tiers of the competition: “Sobresaliente” and “Superior.”
