Coach Mackenzie Tichenor has served as the varsity head coach of the girls volleyball team since 2017. Mackenzie joined Berkeley as an assistant coach in 2016 for her father, Randy Dagostino. Now her husband, Eugene Tichenor was also an assistant coach on that staff. Taking over the program as a team in 2017, Mackenzie and Eugene led the team to the State Championship in their first year as high school coaches. Mackenzie graduated from Berkeley in 2012 after leading her teams to three state championships. Her playing career carried into college as the starting setter for the University of Maryland. She transferred after the end of her freshmen season to The University of Florida where she played her remaining three seasons. While at UF, Mackenzie was a part of two SEC Championship teams, three Elite Eight teams in the NCAA tournament, and was the recipient of two NCAA All-American honors.
